Teal made sense when Luau's development and environment were more in favor of Roblox. The Teal also used to provide a single file toolchain and easy integration allowing us to do cool things, however its ecosystem is still vastly underdeveloped in favor of developer experience, and the breaking changes are often seen. The focus hence moved towards supporting Luau instead as we already have the infrastructure for it.
